Short version: We don't sell your data. Files you upload are processed solely to deliver the tool you selected and are automatically deleted. We collect minimal personal information and use it only to run and improve TaniaPDFTool.
01 Information We Collect
We collect information in two ways: information you provide directly, and information collected automatically when you use the service.
Information you provide:
Account information — name, email address, and password when you register
Payment information — processed securely via Stripe; we never store card numbers
Files you upload for processing (PDFs and other documents)
Messages you send to our support team
Information collected automatically:
Log data — IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps
Usage data — which tools you use and how often (no file content is logged)
Device information — operating system, screen resolution, and language settings
02 How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect only to operate and improve TaniaPDFTool. Specifically:
To process your files and deliver the output you requested
To manage your account and authenticate your identity
To process payments and prevent fraud
To send transactional emails (receipts, password resets, file-ready notifications)
To respond to support requests
To improve our tools through aggregated, anonymised usage analytics
To comply with legal obligations
We do not use your files or their content for training machine-learning models, advertising, or any purpose other than delivering the service you requested.
03 File Storage & Deletion
Your files are stored only as long as necessary to complete the task and allow you to download the result.
Free plan: uploaded and output files are permanently deleted after 2 hours
Pro plan: files are stored for up to 30 days, then automatically deleted
Business plan: files are stored for up to 30 days; administrators can configure shorter retention periods
You can delete any file manually at any time from your account dashboard
All files are stored with AES-256 encryption at rest on servers located in the European Union. Download links are signed and expire within 1 hour of generation.
04 Sharing Your Information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share data only in the limited circumstances below:
Service providers: Stripe (payments), AWS (file storage), and Postmark (email). Each is bound by a data-processing agreement.
Legal requirements: if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of our users.
Business transfers: if TaniaPDFTool is acquired or merged, your data may transfer to the new entity under the same privacy protections.
05 Security Measures
We implement industry-standard security controls to protect your data:
All data in transit is encrypted via HTTPS / TLS 1.3
Files at rest use AES-256 server-side encryption (SSE-S3 / KMS)
Signed, expiring S3 download URLs — no guessable public paths
Role-based access controls; staff cannot read your file contents
Regular security audits and dependency vulnerability scanning
While we take security seriously, no system is completely invulnerable. Please report any suspected vulnerabilities to security@taniapdf.com.
06 Cookies & Tracking
We use a small number of cookies strictly necessary to run the service, plus optional analytics cookies.
Essential cookies: session authentication, CSRF protection, and user preferences. These cannot be disabled.
Analytics cookies: anonymised usage stats via a self-hosted Plausible instance. No cross-site tracking, no fingerprinting, fully GDPR-compliant.
We do not use advertising cookies or share data with ad networks. You can opt out of analytics cookies at any time via our cookie banner or account settings.
07 Your Rights
Depending on your location you may have some or all of the following rights regarding your personal data:
Access: request a copy of the data we hold about you
Correction: update inaccurate or incomplete information
Deletion: request erasure of your personal data ("right to be forgotten")
Portability: receive your data in a machine-readable format
Objection: object to certain types of processing, including direct marketing
Restriction: ask us to limit how we use your data while a complaint is resolved
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@taniapdf.com. We will respond within 30 days. EU/EEA residents also have the right to lodge a complaint with their local data protection authority.
